A New Week

Its Sunday so a new week is about to start. Think of something that you would like to work on this week and really focus on it. Pick something that might take a couple of days to accomplish so that you can say you put some time in it. This will make the week seem not so routine and it should also be enjoyable for you!

Team Unity!

Baseball season is going to be starting soon and this year it is a little harder for all of us on the team to pay league fees. So, we are going to do a couple different fundraisers to raise money that will go towards our league fess. It is a struggle out there for a lot of people and playing baseball is so much fun and I would hate to see anyone not be able to play. I have played competitive baseball my whole life , and now I am playing city league. It is still competitive, but it is more laid back and everyone on our team gets along great! We had a meeting tonight at Pietro's Pizza, where we talked about the upcoming season and different fundraising opportunities. Surprisingly everyone had really good ideas and was very excited. Our team is called the Royals and we are all good players but we don't have any cocky one's on the team. It isn't about how good you are, it is about having a good time and also still trying to win, but letting everyone get playing time. I am very excited for the upcoming season and I know it will be a great one.

Give a little back!

There are so many volunteer opportunities in our communities. The gift of giving goes along way, so find some time and give a little back. It does not have to be a whole day event, but maybe just a few hours. There are a lot of people out there that could really use some help. The feeling is wonderful when you are a part of that. I belong to a few promotion companies and today I did a promotion with, "Disney." Our slogan for the day was," Give a day, get a Disney day." How it works during the 2010 year is if you volunteer a day of your time to one of the places on the website www.disneyparks.com then in return you will get a ticket voucher good for entrance into one of the Disney Theme Parks. I have done many different promotions over the last couple years and this was by far one of my favorites. There were people from PR, Marketing, Character Development, Management, Radio and Advertising, that worked for Disney all over the world. KATU was there doing interviews with some of us. It was an unbelievable day and I am honored to say that I was a part of it. The look on people's faces when they saw us made me smile ever bigger. I am always having fun,I love being involved in as much as possible, but the times when I am the most satisfied are when I am helping others and showing them a good time.
