You will know!

There might be a certain item that you are trying to find, and you just cant find the right one that you are looking for. Stop stressing over it, and don't look for it for a little bit and when you don't expect it the item will pop right out at you and you will know that you have found the perfect one that you are looking for.

The Weekend!

The weekend is here, and it is a time to forget about what happened in the week and have some fun. Enjoy the weather outside, or maybe stay in and relax. Just enjoy yourself and your surroundings. Don't think about work until Monday morning, take every minute one at a time during the weekend and embrace it.

Use your day wisely!

Like I have said in many posts, "Be productive." If you have a plan then that is more than half the battle. The days don't have enough hours in them to get everything done, but why waist time when you could be accomplishing things. Today was so beautiful and it felt like a summer day. I actually think it was the best day weather wise we have had in a long time. We woke up early and Shelley went to coffee with her Mom and then to get dresses with some of her bridesmaids and I ate breakfast and played the guitar. After that I continued writing a song that I am working on and very excited about. Shelley got home and brought me lunch which was very nice of her. She is the best! We ate out on the porch and enjoyed the sunshine, then we went on a walk down by the rive which is right near the apartment. After that we went and saw some friends at their work and hung out for a bit then went to 24 Hour Fitness for a work out. She did legs and I did arms. It was a great workout. Then when we were finished we got delicious smoothies at " Booster Juice." I know it seems a lot so far but were not even close to being done. After that went went to La Rog Jewelers and I made a payment on her ring and we looked at some rings for me. Then we went grocery shopping at Winco and got a ton of good and healthy food. Today is Ash Wednesday so no meat. When we got home we put away the groceries and for dinner Shelley made Parmesan noodles and amazing Bruschetta. We now are enjoying some white wine and watching the news. She has a little hw to do and then the Snowboarding event is on tonight for the Olympics. We will be watching that, American Idol and then our favorite show Nip Tuck. Now that is a productive day. I find that the more productive you are then the more energy you have and you will also feel better about yourself.

It's Fat Tuesday!

Happy Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras, which ever one you prefer. Today is a day when you can eat pretty much anything with no guilt. If you want to have a few drinks, then that is fine too. Tomorrow is when lent starts for Catholics and that means it starts for me. Tonight I am going to Chevy's for Happy Hour and then to the Blazer game. I know what I will be giving up for Lent and I will stick to it. Let this be a day of no blame on yourself for anything you eat or drink. Have a great day and enjoy the weather.

Team Unity!

Baseball season is going to be starting soon and this year it is a little harder for all of us on the team to pay league fees. So, we are going to do a couple different fundraisers to raise money that will go towards our league fess. It is a struggle out there for a lot of people and playing baseball is so much fun and I would hate to see anyone not be able to play. I have played competitive baseball my whole life , and now I am playing city league. It is still competitive, but it is more laid back and everyone on our team gets along great! We had a meeting tonight at Pietro's Pizza, where we talked about the upcoming season and different fundraising opportunities. Surprisingly everyone had really good ideas and was very excited. Our team is called the Royals and we are all good players but we don't have any cocky one's on the team. It isn't about how good you are, it is about having a good time and also still trying to win, but letting everyone get playing time. I am very excited for the upcoming season and I know it will be a great one.

The trip to Nashville!

Hello everyone! We are back from our trip to Nashville TN. It was honestly one of the best trips of my life. We had such an amazing time and we saw so many different things. Downtown is awesome and full of many different country boot stores, bars with live music all day, cafes, restaurants, guitar shops, Hatch Show Print shop, Rhyman Auditorium, Soubert Center where they have the CMA's and where the Predator's Hockey Team plays, the Convention Center, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and much more. Right across the river from downtown is Titans Stadium, where the NFL team plays. We checked out surrounding cities as well and they were all different but great in their own ways. Right outside Nashville is, "Greenhills," which is full of shops, writers cafes, a huge mall and really nice housing. When we move we are going to rent a house in Greenhills and then save up for a house a little further out into the country. We took many pictures and you will be able to see them on facebook. The city has so much going on and everyone there is so welcoming and nice. People always have a smile on their face and it seems like everyone is loving life. The music scene there is absolutley amazing. Everywhere you go there is music, which is perfect for me. We went to Vanderbilt University which is a mile from downtown Nashville, and it is a beautiful campus. We went to the city of Franklin which is such a pretty little town and a perfect place to start a family. We took a drive out in the country and saw some amazing land and houses and then ate at a little cafe where I played a Gibson guitar on the stage. We went to the Country Music Hall of Fame and that place is a must go if you are ever there. We went to the Donnelson Mansion, Hilsboro Village, The Blue Bird Cafe where everyone starts there career in music, the Gibson Showcase where they make all the expensive Gibson Guitars, the Grand Ole Opry, and probably my favorite place which was the Gaylord Opryland Resort. The resort is the most amazing place I have ever seen in my entire life. It covers almost a mile of property and inside there are gardens, waterfalls, a river, boat ride, amazing restaurants, fitness center, 2 pools, bars, dance halls, penthouse suites, and so much more. The whole resort is inside but it feels like you are outside. All of the plants are real and they have people who work there and their job is just to take care of the plants and flowers. It is so beautiful and there was a wedding that was going to take place yesterday at 5:00pm inside the resort. It was such a pretty setup and the perfect location for a wedding. While we were in TN it snowed which made the trip even better. Nashville is a great place to go on vacation and I cant wait to call it home.

A work of art!

Today after a work promotion I met my girlfriend downtown and we went to the Benson Hotel. The Hotel is decorated to look just like Christmas. At the hotel there is a Gingerbread display done by Chef Dave Diffendorfer. He has done this annual display different every single year for 15 years. This year was a replica of the Benson Hotel. The display took 300 work hours, and was made up of 75 pounds of gingerbread, 25 pounds of marzipan, and 20 pounds of chocolate. It was absolutely beautiful.
It is amazing what skills people have. To think that this gingerbread display was done by just one person is insane. Every little detail was outstanding and it is truly worth seeing.

A helping hand!

There are people who have not had a great upbringing and have not been able to experience certain things. Everyone deserves to have a great life and the chance to make something of themselves. It is very sad to think that some people don't have families to go to and see on the holidays or any day for that matter. There are people out there that are all alone and have know where to go. I watched a movie last night called " The Blind Side," and it was about a boy who lived in the projects and was taken away from his family at a very young age because his Mom was too caught up in drugs, alcohol and sex. She could not take care of him and it was a unsafe place for him to live in. When he was about 18 years old or so a family found him walking in the rain one night on the side of the road and they offered to have him stay the night because he did not have a place to sleep. His name is Michael and he never before in his life even had a bed. This family takes him in and ends up becoming his legal gardians. They gave him a life that he would not of had. He was given the chance to make something of himself. You will have to see the movie to find out the rest and see what Michale makes of his life. Do not give someone a helping hand just because you want to, but because it is the right thing to do.

" Everyone deserves a chance, it is up to them to make the most of it."

Friday the 13th!

Today is a historic day. It has always been marked as a day of unlucky and strange occurrences. The unlucky number 13 symbolizes today. Many people try to keep the day very simple and are afraid to drive or even go out of the house. They think that something crazy and unusual will happen to them.
I said in a earlier post that Friday is my favorite day of the week. I am not letting this day be any different. I am going to enjoy myself and have a great evening. I am going to watch the Blazer game with my girlfriend and our friends then we are going to go to a fashion show downtown. People should not let things stop them from doing something. If everyone believed everything that they heard then this world would be a lot more screwed up then it already is. Enjoy your day today and be positive about anything that you do.

TGIF!!!!

Thank God It's Friday! Today is the best day of the week because it starts the weekend. Everyone has been at work all week and now it is time to relax and have some fun. The whole day is a good day usually, even at work. Everyone is more energetic and seems to be in a better mood on Friday's. It is probably just because everyone knows that they do not have to go to work tomorrow. All the restaurant owners must love Friday's as well because everyone usually goes out to happy hour and dinner on this day. I think it would be awesome if happy hours were extended on the weekends. People are way more relaxed on the weekends and more likely to go out and have a good time, so why not have great prices on Fridays and Saturdays to make everyone happy. Life is about having a good time and doing things that you enjoy with ones that you love and are close to. So today after work go do something fun. Go out to dinner, go to a movie, meet some friends somewhere. Whatever you decide to do, make the best of it and allow yourself to have a good time.

My bio

Hello,
My name is Brandon and I am not like most 23 year old guys. I have experienced a lot in my life and I believe in making every moment a positive one. All people have a vision of what they want to do when they grow up and I myself have wanted to be many different things. One day I will get an idea of something that I want to be or do in my life and I will convince myself that it is going to happen. I believe in dreaming big and having goals to accomplish. I am not the kind of person to stay home and watch " Why is America fat?" shows. I am the type of person that goes out and tries to make a difference every day. My life is never a dull moment and I have had many things happen that I would love to talk about in my future blogs. In life you can either look at things in a positive or a negative way. I like to use the analogy, " Is your glass half full or half empty?" In my life the glass is always half full.
